Hi my name is Margie
I am a proud Aboriginal woman living on Darkingjung Country.
I hand make unique items made from nature. Items include weaving using organic materials such as pine needles, native grasses, lemongrass and more.
I first began weaving with Aunties on Yonglu Country when I had the honour of working in East Arnhem Land communities.
As well as weaving I make items using Australian Native seeds, seed
pods, emu feathers, gumnuts as well as other materials. ​These materials are gathered by Aboriginal families in communities on Arrernte Country​ in the
Alice Springs area.
